Not sure of the intricacies, but a reliable Belgian equestrian website reports that Pessoa will be taking part in the Global Champions Tour final next month (which I have tickets to *smug smirk*

), something to do with a decision in a Brazilian court. His ban was due to run until mid-January. Danial Deusser on the other hand is reputed not to be competing at all for a while as his licence has been revoked by the German NF..............

ah...and if the GCT is not run under the auspices of the FEI then they would be well within their rights to "allow" him to compete...presumably that would mean Denis Lynch will be let compete there too!

the cases of denis lynch et al are still to be resolved. at this point he is entitled to compete if invited. and i suspect GCT is affiliated to the FEI as the classes carry ranking points.
as for rodrigo's participation, he can do as he like if competes HC and possibly just earns a fee (the public like watching him after all) but i suspect it is because the brazilian federation is appealing the ban though i dont know for sure in which case like mrs kurten, he can compete as usual til they sort it out.

Ok, now I'm REALLY confused! Just read H&H's story on this and they say the GCT final is going to be in Sao Paulo next week - what is it I'm watching in November in Brussels then?! I'm sure it's the top-10 final.... *scratches head in extremely perplexed manner*

The Global Tour is run under the auspices of the FEI, if Rodrigo has not put an application into CAS then he cannot jump. An FEI suspension holds until an appeal is instigated - at Cannes this year, the GT secretary sent Jessica Kurten away for the same reason. Rules are rules, man !

Unfortunately, National Federations are not always aware about the status of individual proceedings concerning their national riders, but the FEI is.

When will these riders stop cheating ? The FEI has a tough job to do but it has to be done, no matter how sucessful the rider. the National Federations have to become tougher and more aware !

i would love to know myself Vic but as soon as i find out i will tell you.
and as it points out in the link above j1234 starting an appeal is exactly what someone has done so i presume he will be able to jump in san paulo while they all talk about it! and you know i agree about the cheating thing though
