Have been thinking about getting one for a while...but would obviously have to be an eBay copy as have no money! But I would only be able to use it about once a week at the moment, so would it be worth while buying? Thoughts on them as well please

Hi I sourced mine off ebay (a copy) I think it was an equi-amy. It's excellent cost me about £27 and its brill. Has paid for itself over and over again, but you do need to buy the roller separately. Whole lot cost me about £50 and I use mine 3 x week. wouldn't be without it, but will probably only use it about once a fortnight once I am able to ride my horse again. My horse really likes to be in it, she actually seems to like the feel of being held together and it has taught her to work in an excellent outline; something that she just couldn't get the hang off no matter how much we tried.

I have a copy, and although really, really pleased with the result would never use it more than once a week as don't like how "busy" it is on the mouth.
Once a week on the horse I got it for was enough for a near miraculous improvement! (It was her mind as much as her body that needed to change!)
Watch out when you buy on Ebay that you know whether it comes with a roller or not.

I will say that I only use mine 3x a week at the moment because it is a set rehab programme that she is having to follow. Once we are past that stage it will only be used once a week or every 10 days or so; but they really are very good at getting a horse to work from behind. I also find that you don't need to work them in it for a long period of time 15-20 mins is what I work on, but even then she has been built up very gradually to this period of time, as would say that this is towards the top end of how long you would want to work them in it.
