.......I hate people that don't wash bits after use, I hate the use of draw reins,I hate people that tell you how wonderful their horse, but, have no interest in yours(or anybody's infact!!!!),I hate people that don't call the vet when it's clearly needed and lastly I hate people that give advise, but, have no idea at all! What's yours???????????
crazy.gif

I hate dirty beds, people not taking proper care of their horses feet, ripped rugs, people leaving jumps up in the arena, over cleaned tack (when it goes all sticky), long manes
blush.gif
, pooey tails, clipped tails (should be pulled!), wonkey clips, ill fitting tack and the list goes on
blush.gif

when people who own their own horses, which they ride and jump every day can't understand how someone who rides once a week doesn't want to jump a 4'6" fence on a horse they've never ridden before
frown.gif

Don't go to that riding school any more

I hate people who don't look after their horse correctly, people who wear Mountain Horse yard boots or short chaps and boots out hunting. People who cut their horses mane with scissors, 99% of the time it looks awful, people who wear spurs without correctly knowing how to use them and who only wear them so people might think their a good rider, people who put extra tack on their horse because they think it looks good, people who don't clean their tack or groom their horse properly before hunting, I hate seeing scruffy manes out hunting, plaiting is traditional!

My list is endless...

I hate people who
- give advice when its not acually wanted
- just leave there horse to rot in the field
- believe there horse is the best
- believe cobs are inferior
- believe that just because they've brought an expensive horse that they are a better rider/owner than you
- believe you have to buy a good horse
- leave head collars on in the stable

the list is endless

o and one big one

unmucked stables, theres just no need!!!

people who insist on having their horses turned out because "it's good for them" rather than accepting that the poor bloody horse doesn't necessarily WANT to be out in the hissing rain and freeezing cold, knee deep in mud and being kicked and beaten up by the field bully and would much rather the owner admitted they can't ride it if it isn't turned out 'cos it's overfed mix ('cos it's cheaper) by the YO instead of feeding more expensive hay in large quantities to keep the horse warm and happy.

I also hate people who insist on the horse doing activity X when the horse plainly hates it instead of accepting that the horse is really only happy doing activity Y and riding the horse to it's ability in activity Y and keeping it happy instead of bullying it to do activity X when it's unhappy and hates it.

I agree with all the above plus
.crulety and neglect
.over bitting to compensate weak riding
.people that beleive they are above having lessons
.people that make jealous remarks out of spite rather than support each other
.bad stable management
.thinking you know it all
children with pushy parents
.needlessley fat horses/ponies (under neglect really)
I guess i better stop my list seems like it will go on a while!!!
the joys of PMT eh??

- I hate people that treat you differently (ie: YO's/riding instructors) just because you have your own horse, everyone is equal!!
- dirty hocks
- dirty tack
- people who think they are better than you, just because they have paid more money than you...
- people who tell me Hemir is usless, just because he cant jump a course of 1.20m and because i've had to work hard to get him to where he is now and apparently i haven't done a good job!!
- People who tell me i'm useless
- People that accuse me of not looking after my horse properly, he's not on 'posh' feed because he doesnt need it!
- dirty hooves
- dirty bits
- when people don't realise that i have no self confidence and that i'm not as strong as i seem....when riding!!
- People telling you that you are too big for you pony/horse when he/she takes your weight easily!!!
- pushing a horse too far
- leaving it in the field with no food, mud up to it's knees and when you can see their ribs very clearly.
- people not listening to their horse, when they need a rest, or want to do something different!
.....I could go on for ages!!

I hate people that turn there horses out 24/7 and don`t bother to check them. People who don`t ride there horses for weeks on end and then expect them to do a 12 mile fun ride and then there horse is lame the next day. I also hate people who look down there noses at coloured cobs.

pot hunters...give the rest of us a chance!!!!!

those that think that because you have a horse you have to ride it or give it a job to do!!...why???

any kind of snobbery..horse or otherwise...

the person that texts me to say she's sitting in my field with my cob and he needs this, that or the other...er,...go bother someone else and get out of my fecking field.....

he said, she said...... I make it my mission to start at least one rumour about myself every week and see how long it takes to get back to me!!
grin.gif

dirty horses, stables and tack, keeping horses that want to be in out and those who want to be out in. every horse is different!!

people who dont want to learn

excess tack thats not needed

irational hatred of training aids that in the right hands do good not bad

thats just the reason i gave my mare up - she and i didnt agree on the definition of 'fun'!

being horseless

Oh dear, you wouldn't like me then. I don't like riding but I love owning a horse and messing about with it . . . . . Have to agree with all of O_C's though.

but I bet you actually go and see your horse every day
smile.gif
and don't just leave it to rot in a field for weeks on end

I am soooooooooooo easy going - biggest hate I suppose is people over feeding their horses and then complaining that they cannot handle them - errr its your own fault!!!!

Totally agree - also they are too bone idle to turn up twice a day to see to said horse and as for actually mucking out... well no way.
Also hate people who buy horse and expect it to act like a machine from day one and if doesn't blame old owners for lying and refuse to give horse a chance to settle in.
Hate those that totally overhorse themselves and then refuse to admit it.

People who dont clean up after them whether it be emptying the wheel barrow, brushing the pathways

people who ride without a hat esp those that think the inevitable wont happen

dirty horses

dirty stables

dirty water

dirty saddle clothes

dirty grooming kit

im not obessive at cleaning i swear lol

people who dont shut gates even though the horses isnt in the field

people who like to think they are bigger and better than you just because they have the quality stuff * ie new lorry, new saddle, expensive taste and so on *

people that drive to fast while towing

people that smoke while riding

or eating chewing gum

people that use the mobile while out hacking

not wearing high viz

ignorant drivers that fly by horses on the roads

could do alot more but il be here all day

* Not having the cavason part of the flash done up tightly or its too low
* People wearing a white stock with a tweed jacket or a coloured stock with a dark jacket

There are loads more I just can't think of them

Pushy Parents

[/ QUOTE ]

And the opposite as well. The parents who just drop there little kids off and let them run havoc throughout the yard.

Riders who have every brand name on- just to muck out.

I agree in some cases but my mare has been out 24/7 for the last year, she is much much happier out than stabled overnight. She is much more chilled and generally a happier bunny. I still go and see her twice a day and poo pick her field twice a day. I would never dream of leaving her unchecked in either the morning or afternoon, that does upset me.

hate people who don't wear reflectives on the roads or out hacking. its dangerous!! even when you're on a bridle path or field, it makes you easier to spot!

people who have their own horse and take it for granted.

people who cry when they ride because they can't get the horse to do what they want. why?? its perthetic!

Up-their-own-ar*e know-it-all's who think their word is gospel. People who can't st talking about how they've been there, done that and how they did it so much better than you.
People who toally over-horse themselves but won't admid it and get help............Actually, I have too many to list!

I have loads too:

No Hi Viz is a major bug bear of mine WHY WON'T PEOPLE WEAR IT...IT SAVES LIVES

a field full of poo

people using the corale and not sweeping up after themselves

people using the corale, sweeping up after themselves, not very well and just sweeping the hay/hair/mud off the edge of the concrete onto the grass

ragging a pony around its field and making it go over and over and over and over the same jump

ooohhh i could go on for hours

People who hog the practice jump & seem to think it was put there for the sole use of themselves & their (loud voiced) mother / trainer, & who insist on jumping at least a foot higher than the class, over & over again.

Overhorsed people warming up for dressage who think they own the arena cos they're on £25k of warmblood that they can't control & who think they're having a private lesson with their (loud voiced) mother / trainer & the rest of us are invisible.

I hate people (okay the behaviour not the person) who either don't know or don't care about the rules for a warm up arena in dressage. How stupid do you have to be to stop dead on the outside track for a chat when my heavy hunter mare is cantering down on you? People who do this and similar obtuse behaviours deserve her to knock them into the middle of next week! My problem is that doing so would upset her! No sense whatsoever of the concept of faster gaits being to the outside .... Grrr ...!
