Watched a very interesting training session yesterday with Harry Mead and Nick Gauntlett. Both were being trained by show jumping trainer Peter Murphy.

I've never heard of him - but was very impressed.

Any one know anything about him??

Peter still is an International SJ'er. He has a good young horse called Atlantis (I think

) at the moment who he rode in the Hickstead Derby this year....although he'd probably prefer to forget that round thinking about it

He lives down the road from me.. about 1 mile away. He still has some good horses and competes nationally.. I'm not sure if he still competes internationally though..

He's a very good trainer. My daughter had a lesson with him a couple of years ago..

Peter ia a BSJA Accredited Coach and is conducting training sessions at Towerlands - one on 25th Sept. I think he will be competing for a HOYS wildcard there this weekend - and is scheduled to do 5 more during the winter. For several years after he finished his very successful Junior career he was based with Ronnie Massarella.
