Hi!
I've qualified for the PetPlan area finals (this one is at moreton in Dorset but also for another one in October at Summerhouse)
I have some (probably very dumb!) questions! Here goes....
1. There are two judges... Does that mean two sheets & average score taken or one sheet with the average scores on the one sheet?
2. Again two judges, do you salute them both or just the one at C and acknowledge the one on the side?
3. Do the scores normally go downwards? I'm getting 68/69% I know I won't get anywhere with those scores but I'd like to be prepared if I'm likely to get 50% for a 'good' test! (Because I may be a little upset if I think scores stay the same and I drop massively!)
4. Is there any arena walks? My horse is pretty solid in new 'scary' environments but it would settle my mind more than his!
5. Are there any different rules or rule changes that differ from normal BD?
6. In the unlikely event it goes very right - what are placings/qualification/prizes down to? Is it really worth staying plaited for after your tests for prize giving if you are competing against £30k's worth of horse and you're on a cob X?!
7. Anything else I should know?!
Probably can tell but I'm ever so slightly nervous! First time and on a horse I broke myself (dressage stuff is all a bit of fun still!) never know the form with this stuff!
Horse is stabled there overnight as I'm in Bristol so a bit of a long way to get down there for one day, I'm in the lorry so have plenty of time to ride in on the Saturday as well.
Thanks so much for any advise!
No doubt il post a report if my camera doesn't drown in the rain that is forecast!
