Hi,

I have been interested in trying to qualify for one of these festivals at prelim level. I read on the BD website that I would need two test sheets at 62% or above and that these would need to be obtained at affiliated competitions. As myself and my horse are not yet registered members would we need to buy tickets to enter affiliated shows in order to qualify. I found it all a bit confusing

any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I think you would need to register yourself once you have qualified and you want to take part in the AF though. The horse doesn't need to be registered until you do novice.

Hi,

You can enter the open section of prelim without a ticket or registering you or the horse.

You can then enter on a day ticket, but will not be allocated points or be able to qualify for regionals.

You can use all tests to qualify for Pet Plan, but would need to register yourself and the horse if you wanted to ride in the Pet plan area finals.
