why are petrol/diesel prices creeping up again? Oil prices are still low . . . . .
Near me petrol has gone from 82.9p/litre to 86.9p/litre in just over a week

funny you should mention this! Filled up today and had a bit of a surprise. Having only recently trained myself to look at the prices.

Husband always knows where the cheapest is (sad man!), I never used to. Actually when he asked me how much my petrol cost, I always told him £20, ha ha that was what i put in.

When it got so expensive I found SBurys cheapest in our area but they tricked me today and it had gone up exactly as you found!

Its doing just the same around here (Herefordshire) - creeping up slowly by a couple of pence each time, but has gone up a couple of times already

I suppose they will say that the price of crude oil is going up or something, but I knew the good times wouldnt last long, bloody Government and their punitive taxation on fuel

I drive a company car and so I fill up usually two to three times a week.

Diesel has jumped to 98.9P at Sainsbury's. It was about 2 or 3p cheaper at the end of last week. Not sure what is going on, profit? Tax? Arabs?

Mind you, it was up to £1.34 during the summer and our FD was having kittens

Diesel has gone back up to over a pound at my local Tesco, it was 101.9 the other day so I drove to Bury St Eds to fill up there as it was 98.9 and I needed horse food. To think that before Christmas it was 95.9.

Been creeping up quietly for a couple of weeks now. Tesco's is now £1.01 diesel and 89.9p unleaded.

I paid 83.9ppl on sunday for unleaded...haven't looked at the price since. Did however just check the price of heating oil as i've just had 1600 litres delivered...and it is down to about 45ppl from the last fill up at 65ppl in September...saved me about £500 on a top up

its going up due to the current issues at the oil refinarys where union action is occuring. Also the price will start to increase as the exploration is reducing due to the current credit crunch impact. Alot of Oil companies where mainly owned by the big bank so this has a knock on effect.
