Pets can now enjoy flying.....they should do this in the UK!

I saw this on the news. The animals basically go in crates and are stacked on shelves.

If my dog were to fly I would rather buy him a seat on the plane next to me ( if allowed ). I am sure he would be scared with all that noise in a strange place.
 
I've flown on flights with dogs in the cabin in the next row to me ( a lot of European airlines, including Lufthansa, SAS, Air France etc will take small dogs in travel kennel things). It's fine, until the dog starts howling (worse than a baby crying) poos all overs its cage (stank to high heaven) and owner utterly ignored it, telling the stewardess he was like that every time he flew. On top of this, the guy in the row behind her was allergic to dogs, and spent the entire flight sneezing. I guess you just don't expect to be sitting next to a dog, so might not have your allergy meds with you.
