She let me have a feel in her mouth today as she's much less sore, although she's still having a bit of trouble eating alfalfa. One molar is definitely chipped and it's noticeably loose. It's the first one on the left. I'm most worried
Have called vet who has yet to get back to me. What is the usual procedure? An x-ray, I assume? Would the tooth have to come out? What would the knock on effect be on the upper molars and subsequent dentistry?
Ideas, suggestions, reassurance and gentle pats on shoulder welcome.
disclaimer: For those quite rightly concerned that I might've grabbed her tongue and pulled it out of the side of the mouth, I didn't. I held her tongue gently IN her mouth and she was most obliging and tolerant of me having a poke around.
