Ok, so the saga started in 2005 (not a typo) when she arrived and was inspected for inclusion in the Stud Book of Argentina... HOWEVER, the exporters neglected to send the export certificate (that they'd charged me for), and the importers, whilst happy to take my money to register her, didn't feel the need to inform me that said paperwork was missing and so PF had remained unregistered... SOOOO, when I tried to register her with the Sports Horse registry and they told me I needed her DNA type thingy and Weatherbys said they only gave it to other TB registries... I then thought "Hang ON! I registered her with the Stud Book!" only to find out that in fact I hadn't, or rather the incompetent orifices hadn't.
SO, I obtained the Export Certificate (mercifully quite easily) which was sent to the relevant authorities, who then said they had to reinspect PF. THANKFULLY she was in Buenos Aires at the time, or I would've had to truck her there just for the purpose.
I rang EVERY day (not that I was suspicious the bl**dy thing might not get done) until it was.
THEN the Stud Book asked for her passport to which I thought "Fine, no problems, it's with PF, I'll just ask for it back"
Again, I was mistaken. Because the other incompetent sphincters LOST it. Of course they did. Soooo, £90 or so later, Weatherbys kindly send me another one by recorded delivery, I post it to the Stud Book (recorded!) and a week or so later ask for it back so I can register madam with the Sports Horse registry...
GUESS what follows... Of COURSE I CAN'T have it back, because it now belongs to them. "Bollox!!" I cry! It's mine, and a £90 debit on my credit card proves it.
I was mistaken. Again. They did say that for $70 they would send me irrefutable proof of PF's inclusion in the Stud Book and that would be enough for the Sports Horse registry.
And 2 or 3 weeks later... here it is. It looks like a bit of laminated paper, doesn't it? Yep, it is.
Hardly seems worth it!

Glad you have got it all sorted out.

You say the certificate is on laminated paper? Do you mean like fax paper? If so, then beware because it will fade within a few years and then you will have nothing. You should try to get the original or at least a proper photocopy of the original.

I am sorry PF but Im convinced that you are an imposter. You cannot possibly live in Argentina, Agrigento maybe but definately not the land of 'HEMen and Big Steaks'.It is impossible that two countries seperated by thousands of miles are run by the same incompetent arseholes who make the same cockups and require to be paid (lots) for doing so.It just isnt possible
