I have absolutely no idea what I am looking for, but wanted to test the PH of horses poo - but of course don't want to spend a fortune, it doesn't need to be 100% accurate, but to give me a 95% idea of what it is, and whether it goes down in time when I make a few changes.

Anyone any ideas or advice or other things I need to know?

I've just bought one of those, haven't used it yet, will endeavour to do so tomorrow! Did ask first and seller thought there was no reason why it wouldn't work, fresh poo and plenty of it to stick it in!

You were braver than me Bobbly - asking the seller! Thought I would get some funny comments on here asking!

OK - very technical question this one, does it have to be "fresh" poo - or will poo that's been kept cold for a few days still work, or does PH change with keeping it? (it's alright the little white van will be along for me very soon!)
