Just love the Rollestsone foaling videos - learning a lot! And there's such a contrast with some of the US foalcams, where I can't believe the degree of interference, perfectly normal birth and people in there heaving and pulling, and the mare very often obviously signalling that she's uneasy with people clumping around in her stable. Rollestone is such a great example, with quiet reassurance in the background, and just letting them get on with it. A great example which I'll try and follow for my mare's first foal!
Thanks for your lovely comments....It's difficult to know sometimes when to get involved or not but we try to leave the mares to get on with it as much as possible - and I think the mares appreciate it too.
Of course, I am a nervous wreck though til baby is out safely and I can see all appears to be ok!
