PHEW .. Do you jet wash your stables every year or am I just MAD ....

I have spend ALL day clearing out my 3 stables .... one is a tack room ... but they all have to be cleaned together

So I have been up to my ears in cr*p and now I am showered and clean I am happy again

.... but in a day or so .... off I will go again with the Pressure Washer and I will be literally covered in Cobwebs, Spiders (EEEEEEEEEEK) and Horse cr*p again ...... and then guess what ..... one of the little blighters goes straight in presses his bum up to the wall and lifts his tail ... so you can imagine the mess all down my nice clean white walls

yes, it all gets pressure washed.

Plus the ones at work, all the matting (2 or 3 sheets per stable)....

I usually do mine then paint the walls again (but they've been done for this year and we'll have to move out next year so it's the last time I'll be doing them

)

Just done mine today. God damm it those matts are heavy. My wrists are killing me now.

I want to do mine but by the looks of things the previous owners never bothered (quelle suprise) and they are cobweb city so I need to find someone willing to do it for me! Can't bear the thought of the spiders!

I am so glad that it is not only me

I feel so alone when I am doing it

I also have to paint them afterwards, but nowadays only paint the areas that have flaked off .... as the build up of paint over the years, does not bear thinking about

yep YO once a year gets everyone to clear everything out of the stable block (american barn) and the whole thing is pressure washed top to bottom and then the stables are repainted. Is a pain in the arse as takes about 4 or 5 days to wash and paint them all and wait till they are dry but definitely worth it.

Yes mine get done nearly every year. Washed, cobwebs removed and repainted. Bottom half black, top half white. Tack room gets a good clean out too.

Yup - this time every year

Lift mats, pressure washer, disinfect, dry, repaint and reseal floors if needed, put mats back in..... bring horses back in to watch all your hard work literally get sh!tted on!!!

Yup - started doing mine today! Third wheelbarrow (enormous blue two-wheeled barrow) load of bedding out this afternoon, and still not halfway through!! Got a few more stables to go yet!

I have 3 builders bags full of Straw and Shavings ..... all good and will make a nice base

.... but I am fed up with doing it at this is the 15th time now
