Photo help

I am not very clever at putting on photos. I have tried doing a profile pic a few times but it keeps saying the photo i to big or something along those lines anyway. Am i doing it wrong. What do i do? Or am i just not meant to have a profile picture?!!!!!

I think the maximum size is 80 x 80 pixels

I uploaded photo to photobucket then opened it in the Edit window.

Click on resize button along the top and change the number in the first box to 80 - the second box will alter automatically if the 'keep proportions' box is ticked. Keep adjusting until both numbers are 80 or less. Save it as a copy.

I think I then downloaded pic to my computer and uploaded onto my avatar for some reason.
