Just seen a message on their website that they are going to cease trading in September :(

Recent posts on here have highlighted what a difficult time the pro photographers are having. Seems the recession, poor sales and theft of images is having a devestating effect. There's no real point to this post, but those of you that thought the pro photographer that posted on here recently was being melodramatic - it seems it's all true :(

Paul - if you are reading, I'm really sorry to hear this. You will be sadly missed by lots of riders in the area - especially at Vale View where you have been a familiar face for as long as I have been competing there. Best wishes for whatever you go on to do.

I don't know the company in question, nor their reasons. I wish them well and thank you for your kind thoughts.

Oh no :( He takes some really good photos, really need to get round to ordering all of the ones of Bronson - have one from him and it's my favourite; everything about it is just perfect :(

How awful, I have many of his pictures hanging on my wall, I don't think there was ever a show where I didn't buy one of his pics, they were always at the right time and good quality.

He really will be sadly missed :(

oh no, I worked with Paul and his wife a few years ago when we lived in Warks. Its not good in the industry at the minute, everythings getting diluted down by so many "photographers"

We are accused of whinging but it costs money to train, costs money to produce prints on site etc

and as you say people think that borrowing an image off the website doesnt hurt, at the end of the day its a living and we need to eat and survive, sadly photography isnt respected as much any more. Such a shame, wish him well in his future endeavours.

I have pointed Paul in the direction of this post so hopefully he'll see it.

I don't really know what to say...other than they are a lovely, lovely family and Paul is a very talented photographer, and I join everyone else in wishing him well for the future.

That really is a shame :(, I've bought a fair few photos of all my horses off Paul.

Vale View will really miss him, he's one of the few blokes I know who can multi-task - taking photos and putting jumps up! :p

Wishing Paul and Wendy all the best for the future. :)

good luck for the future xx

He picks riders up too, he has picked me up before! :o

Just read that back and it sounds SO WRONG! I meant picked up off the floor :p

Some good news for you folks - I think Paul is likely to still be around taking photos at Vale View (and perhaps a few other places) as and when he can so you may still see him around....fingers crossed :)

I know he has read your posts and appreciates all your support.
