Silly I know.. but a big thanks.. New to the forum.. a bit shy I guess.. but watch this space..You'r doing well with yours too.. Member of Chaps?

LOL I've gone all shy now too!!! We only do local stuff, but did really well last year and won several Coloured, Cob Type (she is 15.3hh so a too big for Cob classes) and Riding Club Horse class we entered. Was also doing loads of dressage up to Novice level and getting placed almost every time out. Think we may go bad to doing sponsored rides this year. Never joined CHAPS. What do you do with yours??

Done a bit of everything really, only at RC level tho.. But I have to admit I like my showing.. I have two.. a 15.2 and a 14.2 .. You should do maxi-cob, but they have to be hogged!! Check up the Chaps uk web site.

I did think about it, but a) she would look tiny in with the maxi cobs (the class I saw they were all 16+++) and b) she looks terrible hogged!!! (she was hogged when I got her as a 6YO, mind you she had no neck then so all you saw was a massive head)!!!!

I just wish mine had a dark tail, like yours!!!

lovely horsey!
I'll be looking out for you on april 20th!
you wont have to look far to find me! i'll be the one running round like a headless chicken!
come do the CHAPS qualifiers too as i'd like some company in the ring that wont laugh at me when baby coloured gets it all wrong!
I havent got the foggiest about CHAPS Rules either so sone deffiante do's and donts would be appreciated (never had a coloured to show before!)

Thank you both for the encouragement.. I could get to like this..She has ermin marks all over her legs. A bit of a dot to dot!!
Yours has'nt got a big head..You mite be suprised it not always the big uns they look at.. Great maxi-class at Sommerford Park.. Festival of showing.. Chaps classes the show cobs can be over height.. Coloured Horse class (plaited..) anything over 15.hh..

Have you joined Chaps.. you'll get all the info from them.. but if yours is a 14.2 and under trad she'll have to be measured if doing any Hoys quals. not sure about the Chaps quals..Think the classes are split into two.. Natives (trads, show cobs) and Non-native (plaited) at lloc.. but both heights are together.. Ponies and Horses.. Mite keep her trimmed this year..like to do a hunter class for a change..easier hogged tho.. mmmh.

Yes I've heard that's what they say.. But her father was a grey.. So I don't know if that's possible.. But her mother probably was .. always threw colour, but never had her tested.. Very sadly had to put her down 2yrs ago, cushins and complications.. 23yrs old.. My lovely girl..she was a piebald and had ermin marks too..

Thanks again for the encouragement.. wow have you seen the time.. I definately need my beauty sleep, Be In Touch Soon..(BITS) nice meeting you.. nite,nite..

her owner has arranged membership for her, me and the pony.
Pony has a AHC at 14.1 i think. she is a trad and absolutly gorgeous but not yet established in canter! so we are just going to go, do wonderfully at walk and trot, then pokey nose at canter!
She will be in a saffle as she is only young and weve decided not to put a pelham in her mouth untill she is good and ready!
