what camera do you have??

tbh your better postin gon a photography forum - i dont think im allowed to post them here... pm me?

depends how much you want to get into this...

you coudl go buy a specific macro lens. etc.... or just try macro setting (which isnt as effective but does work)....

Some arnt as sharp as other but just practise.... you will get there - they are good pictures you just need to keep taking loads

the only way to get better is by taking more pictures :)

taken with the kit lens - NOT one of my best but i like it all the same :) (taken on auto setting i think - so extremely lazy of me...)

pm me i you want any photography sites that will help you. :)

They are a good start:

1. Needs to be sharper it looks like the right hand flower is in focus. If you change the autofocus to one point then you can focus on one main point.

2. Good but needs a bit better focusing/ a better lens

What lens are you using? for that sort of close up work you need a good macro lens to get sharp images.

BTW this is my OH writing this - I have NO idea really!!!

They are good.

As above check what your autofocus point is, when you hold own the button half way, the red spot that you see through the viewfinder will be where your autofocus point is, but you can change this just by pressing the button and moving the spot.

You need to make sure that your focusing on the correct part of the flower, there isn't really a right answer as everyone likes focusing on different things, so just go with what you like. I usually focus in the centre where the pollen is, as I like the detail, but I do know people who focus on leaves, because they like to bring out the detail in them! Each to their own!!

You could also try cropping the image so that there isn't so much background space!

Are you using the standard lens that came with the camera? To get better shots you may want to upgrade, but the lens you've got is a good one to get started.

Also once you get more confident try using the Av mode on the camera, this will give you more control over the image.

Also, just for a tip, there's a magazine out there specifically for canon cameras, I think its called Photo plus, but it usually has some good tips in it!

Great start though :) Well done!
