Looks a nasty fall - I've done similar when horse bit his tongue - found it terrifying the amount of blood that was pouring form his mouth.

However, I have to say what a morbid bunch we are - seemingly everyone was dying to see the pictures of someone's accident (ok, so knowing both horse and rider were ok) seeing as this post has had over 1000 views!!!! he he

And show jumping is supposed to be a safe sport - did they have safety cups, or is that a silly question in Argentina?

I have a healthy respect of oxers, as I always ask horse to take off too early, and this could easily be the result....

Actually yes, they do have safety cups at this particular club, thankfully

I expect only the ones holding shows under Federacion Ecuestre Argentina rules do though.
