Some great suggestions! I love worth the wait, limited edition, flying phantom, shades of grey, maybe he's born with it... truely inspired! Lovely comments about him - so glad everyone likes him - is always a bit of gamble with a new horse.
As for more details: he's not yet arrived - got him from an Irish sale last week and he's due tomorrow
His passport has no name and didn't get to talk to his owner at show so don't know what they called him. He hasn't done anything as he's only 4 yrs old - just a bit of showjumping, schooled cross-country, not competed. As I haven't got him yet I don't know about his temperament but I spent ages with him in the stable at the sale and he was really curious and affectionate! A real sweetie
He's by Maltstriker and his grandsire is Glidawn Diamond - by King of Diamonds.
Are you registering the name with the IHB? If so you need to submit four names as some may already be registered.
Oh my god does he have a jump and a half on him
Although I think worth the wait is a great name I think he deserves something a bit grander? If you can incorporate the Diamond in it so much the better IMO - Diamond Steel, Flying Diamond, bit naff I know but only just got in from work so brain is not quite functioning yet
I hadnt thought about that - yeah I will be registering the name with the IHB. I'll decide on 4 then and prioritise! I really like Diamond Steel although I'd probably change it to Steel Diamond...Flying Diamond is nice! I like the idea of putting 'flying' with the name because he does seem to take off!
only know that because when I bought Pidge he had no name, green IHB passport with a foal no in it! I had to send 50 euros and 4 choices of name and I got Diamond Minstrel (taken from King of Diamonds and Minstrel Bouncer in his pedigree) in the end, not my first choice but I like it so am happy. Good luck with your new horse, very nice indeed
Mo is in-foal to a stallion who's sire is by Gildawn Diamond, whose breeding includes his sire King of Diamonds on his dams's side Ben Purple. You also have Silvermines, Trueboy, Glen Lad. He is a nice looking horse good luck with him, cant waite to see more photo's of him once you have him home.
