Has anyone here had KS surgery done on their horse? We just had ours 4 weeks ago and I'm looking for someone to share their experience with me. Our mare has a nasty place that is worrying me! Is this normal?

Sadly I lost spirit, the rehab for his back was too much for his legs. He was lame on all 4 and not the sort of horse to retire to a field so I made the sad decision to have him PTS
they say lightening doesn't strike twice but it does, my new horse turns out to have kissing spines just as bad as spirits but this time I knew all the things that I wasn't going to do, one of which was surgery and touch wood I am back in the saddle and competing
