Not sure if this is the correct place to ask although I know some of you are a wizz with a camera. I have what I think is a gorgeous headshot of my boy but the background is awful, I was just wondering if it was possible and what programme I would need if I wanted to pick him out of the picture and either place him on a plain background or a different background? Thank you

And here is the picture

You can get versions of paintshoppro for free. It's easy to use and you can use layers. You could do what you wanted quite easily with that. It's not as sophisticated as photoshop but easier to learn to use.

Problem is the original is not very sharp, lighting is varied and too much to clone out of background! This is with a watercolour effect added so sharpness not so much of an issue

Hi, A simple editing programe should let you do that e.g pic monkey etc.
I did this in about 10 minutes on picmonkey using the clone tool ( only took 10 mins but if you spent some time it would look better than mine :P )

Not sure if pic works??

Oh my god I LOVE that!! I was going to get a painting of him but now needn't bother!! Thank you so much, I will have a look at pic monkey but not sure I could do any better!! The picture was only taken on my phone as I think he was doing something stupid and then I also got this. Thank you :)
