His dam was a working clydesdale in the forestry and his sire was Indian King the pure Arab stallion. He is about 4 in the first non jumping photos and lived to the ripe old age of thirty he died while on long term loan with people who adored him I never sold him and they loved him dearly everyone that rode him adored him I have loads of pictures of him with novice riders and competing he was once head hunted by Lorna Clark as her event horse but I couldn't part with him he was also ridden by Princess Anne on one noble occasion when he was being naughty at Burgie. He was very forward going and if you hung onto his mouth he would stand up full height

16.1 of almost pure muscle He was very fit we used to ride 15 miles to the x country do the one day event and then hack the 15 miles home again he would dance the past few miles home. Only thing he hated were milestones at the side of the road so you had a minor battle every mile along the way

They are quite common here in NZ. At one time it was not a cross I would ever have considered, but I have yet to see one which has not been a nice horse. Clydesdale/TB crosses are extremely popular here at the moment, both as hunters and riding club allrounders.

Fabulous horse! Thanks so much for sharing your pics. What happened when Princess Anne rode him? Really cheered me up on a cold and rainy morning, where neither the whippet, the cat or I have much motivation to get out of the collective bed!
