As some of you know my hubbies horse Pride has been "interesting"- incrediably talented, stunning to look at, on a good day a total sweetheart but a bit "quirky".

Basically he has turned out to be a ferrari when we went looking for an audi. We were told he would be happy doing an audis job but its quite clear he isn't.
After much deliberation we have decided to let him go as its very obvious he is not the type of horse to let you learn to ride him the way he needs riding, hes not tolerant to mistakes at all. Thus we have decided he needs to go to a "already competing at that level" home rather than a "trying to get to that level" home.
Hopefully he will be sold through our instructor and all will be well but just in case I need to start thinking about how to advertise him as its not fair on him not to be doing what he loves - mainly jumping stupidly high fences!

*** Disclaimer I'm not posting an advert or a how much****

I'm just after advice of phrases to use that don't make him sound insane (as hes not) but make it clear he needs a competant rider. Oh and that rider ought to be a woman as he seems to hate men?!!
I've never had to write an advert before so want to get the right balance of "please no novices but honestly hes not a bad horse, not even nuts just a typical high maintence young WB"!
Any phrases that work for that?

How about 'ideally a lady's horse' and 'serious competetive home only for this talented horse'? :) Good luck!

Y'know I would advertise him as a competition horse (whether that is in the price or the place you advertise) easy to do etc and then weed out the "undesireables" over the phone. If you put things like "must go to a competition home" I think that will make people wonder what kind of a loon he is. Also, do not mention the "man love" that he has been up to in the past
