My 21 year old horse injured her shoulder at start of December, had vet out 3 times & she was prescribed semi box rest (hour or so of individual quiet turnout) & Danilon. My vet didn't see any reason why she wouldn't make a full recovery in time. I asked about physio and he said it wasn't necessary. This has all run up an enormous vet bill and I have sent claim form off keeping my fingers crossed that my insurance will pay out (injury only). I have been made to feel like the worst owner in the world by someone at my yard because I haven't had physio and they have said my horse will never get better! Obviously if my vet had said she needed it I would have got someone out but am now doubting myself and wondering if I am doing the right thing?
