Just thought i'd post a picture update of Lucys illness. Her lumps still seem to be getting better. :) A new development is some strange stringy blood coming out her backend. I phoned the vet who said don't panic and listed afew things it could be. I've never seen anything like it before.

Thanks for looking. (sorry if you where eating your tea :o)

montyforever thankyou.

kerilli She has Amyloidosis. A very very rare inflamortary illness that effects her immune system. The lumps are on all her lymph glands, a reaction to the illness.

Considering everything going on I think she looks good. Shes bright eyes and her feet look fine. Ok so her coat is a bit dull but thats normally the first sign of a poorly pony so thats acceptable as shes a fighter.

Im really curious what is that coming out of her back end it looks like a membrane of some sort??

At least she is still looking bright in herself, she doesn't look at all down with the cards she's been dealt. Ick at the stringy backend stuff. I have no idea what it could be, but hope it's nothing serious. Is she sore round there? Not that expect you to have poked around much, but did she mind you lifting her tail up or anything?

She's doing so well, you both are x

Thanks guys.

toffee44 & miss_buffay those are two things the vet said it could be. They havn't seen it yet if it continus i'll get them to have a look. But you can bet it won't happen when they are here. Atleast i have a pic of it.

somethingorother I did give it a poke (Yuck) She didn't mind to much but when i was trying to take the photo she did try to kick me a few times but i think she was just being a madam.

Good grief! she does keep coming up with new things to worry you with :) She looks pretty good all things considered. No useful ideas, although could the illness have sent her hormones a bit wappy? Love the 'waiting for tea' face :D

Nothing useful to add, except to say that Lucy is certainly giving you and lots of us on here quite an education! She looks amazingly bright all things considered. Hope everything is resolved happily.

Thanks yorksG. When i first found it i rang the vets in a right panic. But he said don't worry about it. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days then i'll get him out to have a look if it's still happening. Today was the first time she realy got excited about tea time. She was actualy getting cross because i wasn't getting it for her i was taking pics of her instead :p :D :D
