Pick Me Up........... Horse

One of my horses is a little under the weather, she has had a months holiday, but just seems quiet, she is rugged well, is carrying a nice weight. I am planning to clip her this weekend, just a little one, so that I can start working her again. So you lovely people can anybody recommend a little pick me up for her.... Thankies

My mare was depressed when she wasn't in work.
I put her off work last year because she was depressed and wasn't right, giving her a rest seemed to make her worse. Maybe work will perk her up. Just vary what you do, one day hacking, another day jumping, another day schooling, etc. This helped my mare.

Had thought about that, one of the reasons I cut her holiday short, also think she is fed up of watching her friends go out to parties at weekends and she's left at home looking after the old boy (my 20 year old gelding).... Glad I'm not the only one that thinks like you did.....

When my boy had a recurring virus (Like ME, very weird), vet (head equine at Royal Vet College), recommended pink powder and Visorbin (iron and vits tonic which horsie loves, green and sugary!). Worked really well and he still has pink powder but visorbin only needed temporarily
