My horse has recently been diagnosed with a mild viral infection along with seasonal allergic airways, or hayfever

I'm pretty sure he has had the virus for a while as he has been "not quite himself" for a bit but not really showing symptoms. The hayfever is being well controlled with a ventolin inhaler.

Can anyone recommend something to build him up again following a virus? Someone has suggested Pro-pell plus? Is this any good? ant other recommendations?

Propell isnt that expensive! Is a great boost as is rich in iron and Echinacea. Have used it and known others use it and have good results. Would recommend it. The echinacea is great for building the immune system back up, which is something that Red Cell doesnt have. Restore is meant to be good, but Global Herbs stuff can be difficult to get hold of and alot of horses wont eat it!!

You need to be looking at a product with echinacea in. this is fantastic for the immune system. the other one is a vitamin e supplement which also picks the immune system up. the addition of vitamin C is also good as horses loose there ability to create it if they are very ill.

Thank you. It was the echinacea I was looking at really. He has a low white cell count so its immune boosters we need

I got a rescue pony in April who arrived very anaemic and run down. Vet advised me to use Vitamin B. He has been on it for a month and his coat and outlook on life are hugely improved. I used a liquid version made by Equimins which cost 5.99 for a months supply! Very cheap and effective!
