Pick your breed: KC quiz, just for fun!

KC breed info says grooming; once a week! Go figure!

for a pointer? I wouldnt even groom once a week! LOL
Shows the thing is rubbish though as you didnt get them unless you changed to daily grooming, whos gonna brush a pointer every day?!

I just went through again and put groom every day and got 110 breeds, including GSD:D However I said large and included in the 110 were pomeranian, papillon, chihuahua etc. Something tells me that quiz is seriously flawed.:p

I filled it in honestly first and got 0 breeds back

Apparently the problem was grooming, I'm obviously a terrible owner as apparently my whippet needs grooming more than once a week. The closest thing he gets to grooming is a quick shower down on the rare occasions he lowers himself to hooning through mud :D

Anyone draw the short straw and ended up with a batty bull terrier?:D:D

One day I'll weaken, just for you, promise!

I was brought up with an EBT, so I'm told. I just need a dog that deals with "today", not tomorrow, or last week, or maybe next!! For all that they have an appeal, one that I'm still fending off. ;)

Alec.

They can adapt Alec, the late:( Richard Chantler had a deaf one from rescue, she would curl up beside lambs out in the barn.Maybe I caused him to want one,he scanned one of my bitches ages and ages ago when he lived down in Kent.
Great character and a lovely person too.

I only started "fiddling about" with my answers to see what other results came up after being totally honest the first time.
My FIRST and 100% honest selection was
More than 2 hours exercise (210 breeds found)
Coat type - Short (78 breeds found)
Grooming - Every day (78 breeds)
Allergies - No (78 breeds)
Town or Country - Country (78 breeds)
House type - Flat/Appartment ( 13 breeds )
Garden - Small/Medium (13 breeds)
Dog Size - Medium (1 breed)

Breed found - Cirneco Dell'Etna  I've never heard of this in my life, and HAD to look to see what it actually is/looks like

IF I selected ALL of the above but chose Small breeds, that came up with 12 breeds - Border Terrier, Boston Terrier, Chihuahua (Smooth coat), Chinese Crested, Dachshund (Miniature, Smooth haired), English Toy Terrier, French Bulldog, Italian Greyhound, Lancashire Heeler, Mexican Hairless (miniature), Miniature Pinscher and Pug. Erm, sorry BUT, I wouldn't choose to own most of these breeds.
My "Flat/Appartment", which I think I said already, is HUGE, is more than big enough for a wider choice of breed. E.G. 3 double bedrooms, living room big enough for 3 x 3 seater sofas and the kitchen is about the same size. We just happen to live in what would effectively be the same as going upstairs in a "normal" house. I suppose some larger breeds would struggle with the stairs later in life, but for most breeds, it's just the same as going upstairs...NOT 6 storeys up in a tower block. Our garden is medium, not tiny or non existant as in a typical "flat". If I select "small house" on this basis, I get a much bigger selection of "suitable" breeds.:D

I ended up with a whole lot of terriers, three kinds of Mexican Hairless, and many toy dogs. I have a Dalmatian, and have had them all my life... oh dear, I've given my loyalty to the wrong breed, apparently! I won't tell Loki. Best he continue to think I am just right for him, I think. ;)

After filling out lots of exercise, lots of long coat needing grooming, big house and garden, and a large breed, it gave me 22 breeds including scottish terrier, peke, maltese, and various sheepdog, and terrier types!!!!

No samoyeds or malamutes - I'm obviously choosing the wrong breeds, and must listen to the KC so I can get it right in future :D

I put in an hours walking a day (really would be more, running around at the stables etc)
Short haired
Large house
Large garden
Large breed

I got mini Bull Terrier, manchester terrier, fox terrier, corgi, English toy terrier!

I got no breeds too. I've had dogs all my life, currently two Golden Retrievers and a GSP. Perhaps I should find proper homes for them all and get a hamster.

I just put my daughters details in, the only breed she can have is, wait for it, English Toy Terrier :D I reckon the KC are on commission from an ETT breeder somewhere.
In fairness I did put that she is in a flat with no garden, the quiz doesn't allow you to mention that Pickle is with her all day at work, and has a good walk morning and night and goes to training classes twice a week. Joking apart I hope people don't take this quiz too seriously and get put off owning a dog (unless of course it is an ETT).
