Picked up my Thermatex's yesterday...

Somebody mentioned on here the other week that it is best to order a size down, but I ordered in November through my tack shop - nobody mentioned anything to me there!

Unfortunately because I have had a fair bit of embroidery done, there isn't really anything else I can do. Will I be a laughing stock, or do other people have thermatex's that come up a bit big on their horses?!

Of course there is, if it doesn't measure the correct size then the shop should re-order. After all what would you do if it came up too small? They are too expensive to not fit!

I had the same prob ur deffo not alone, your horse wont mind it being too big. will still do a fab job, best rug ive eva had!!!!

I would complain, but the only trouble is because the rug is embroidered, its not as if its useful to anybody else!

im sure itl be fine, if its just alittle long it will be ok, if it was about a foot too long then it might look alil silly! anyway as pinktiger says, it wont alter the effectiveness of the rug

get a tuck (pleat)of fabric sewn into the neck which will pull the rug forwards about 3 "...

If your going to use the rug at shows, you will be able to use it over the top of your saddle and it will still cover the bottom! My show rugs are always on the larger size for this reason.

Im sure you will grow to love it but can feel your disapointment after such a long wait!

I agree with silvershadow81, mine is slightly too long but once it's over her saddle it still keeps her nice & covered. Also keeps your saddle covered & protected which is a bonus. I order mine slightly too long/her usual size in Thermatex's for that reason as I think it looks much nicer than one that 'just' fits

They're fabulous rugs though & guaranteed you will adore it!

I have a thermatex which is a bit too big for my 2, but I dont mind, I use it anyway! Does the same job! As long as it isnt uncomfortable then I dont see a prob.
