or hooves.

Hind legs a bit of an issue. She lifts her leg so I cant reach her hoof, and then doesnt kick but almost shakes her leg if I try to hold her hoof and pick her feet out.

Then if I persist, her ears go back and she kicks out sideways, but never makes contact and never seems to be nasty with it - more seems like a warning not to bother again.

can any one help?

:)

whats she like with the blacksmith? Have you had her long and how much experience do you have? If she were mine she would get a good walloping for her anti social behaviour and I would insist until she allowed me to pick up her feet whenever I asked. If you dont have the experience, ask someone who has to help you. She is taking the mickey IMO. Good luck.:)

My old mare does this but only when I am doing her back feet, I thought she was taking the mickey at first and used to give her a tap with a schooling whip but it turns out that she has balance problems and couldn't balance properly.

How old is yours ?

My Clydey loan Mare does more or less exactly the same  she is barefoot and only has a trim every 3mths, she is fine for the farrier and I suspect she is just taking the absolute pee out of my slightly nervous nellie status!!
