Pickle- Step by Step dressage today

Have been working very hard to try and improve our tests, as last time Pickle was consistently on the wrong bend. This time there was some real improvement.

We left early and ended up being the first to arrive

had no idea where to go so took a while to find out where to park. Warm up was deserted which was absulutely lovely. So got a great warm up session in before anyone else arrived.

Then onto my test, Pickle rode a lovely test, A wrong canter lead followed by a flying change caused a few marks lost

My stock ended up flying out of my jacket in the test as the safety pin (lost my stock pin) came undone!

judge seemed to find it amusing though

and I carried on regardless!

Went back to get results and got 60.01%! I am thrilled considering our first test in febuary we got 50.8%. I am incredibly proud and got some lovely comments. I went with a friend on her highland Miffy, she came 3rd with 65% so the 14hh highland beat many of the huge warmblood/tb types

HaHa funny you say that, you should have seen him in the morning! his whole head was one big stable stain. His bum and legs also covered in stains. He had to have an early morning bath

he wasn't too happy about it!

not sure at the moment! but aiming for another dressage comp in the next couple of months. Just difficult as pickle is on working livery and I have college etc etc
