She was eventually operated on at about midnight and I spoke to the vets afterwards when she was in recovery, he didn't actually have to remove any of the bowel which had popped through, but she did have another hernia on the other side which he has done something to. To be honest I don't understand it all, so if anyone knows about hernia's in dogs please advise me!!!
This morning he said he was pleased with her progress and that she was bright, had tucked in to her convalescence food, and had done both a poo and a wee. She has been transferred in an ambulance to my local vets, and I am waiting for them to call me back!!!
I don't think I slept at all, so am exhausted today, and they have said that she is still at risk of complications, and I have to keep her quiet for a while - how on earth do you keep a 13 week old puppy quiet!!! Hopefully she will have the sense not to go bouncing off walls like she usually does!! Thanks for everyones concern! Lxx
