So Hairy had the national finals last friday ['TOYS' as it seems to have been renamed by some lol! [Traditional of the year haha].
Had an absolutely brilliant day.
He had the finals for 'Ridden of the year' and 'Solid of the year'.
In 'Ridden of the year', we came 4th overall. Del Boy came first I think [current HOY's winner], and think the other two were all HOYs/RIHS champs/reserves also...so VERY very pleased and honoured to be stood by them as he is still a novice!!!
We then went straight into 'Solid of the year' after, with some equally gorgious horses in it....and WENT ON TO WIN IT!!!!!
Happy would not be a big enough word to describe it. My heart was in my mouth when we were waiting for the steward's line call out....for us to be pointed at first!!!! I think my completely astounded grin actually touched both ears!!! There's a lovely photo of me with no reins and Hairy just taking himself into the line up with me almost in happy tears wrapped round his neck kissing him haha! I am so buying that photo!!!
We then went into the final evening performance from going champion in that class, but had really really stiff competition in it from all the other champions and reserves from the other ridden classes throughout the day also,and Del Boy and The Freak I think went reserve and champ....who were truly well deserved to obviously! As they are something else. So well done Sue!!!
The overall Supreme of Supreme champions went to a GORGIOUS Black silver dapple stallion who's was his first EVER show!!! He'd travelled miles to get there and so completely deserved his win. His lap of honour round the arena with the crowd going wild was really something else and a spectacular end to a brilliant day.
His stallion was utterly gorgious and he couldn't have been a nicer guy also....Well done Martin and Abbs!!!!!!!

Was a fab day [though VERY hard work!!! Must have been up about 20 hours solid flat out at least!]. There were some real quality stunners that were there and it was just an amazing day, it really was. Kudos to everyone!
