hi, anyone got a dales pony, do you struggle with there weight id like to see pics of your dales please i do general hacking & sponsored rides with my boy.

I have a dales mare. Yes like many natives it's an all year round battle to keep the weight off. On the plus side no expensive feed bills I get through just one bag of chaff a year. Only feeding just enough to put a vit supplement in, as she is on almost permanant restricted grazing. I have to use a muzzle at times.


This is the most recent photo. Just found her like this awaiting to have the bag removed. No fuss, no panic. Pretty typical of her nature, calm in a crisis. Just as well one of us is
