pics of horrible fall

Ohhh - that takes a real professional to carry on shooting a sequence like that - i know it may seem wrong - but he/she is doing what he/she is paid for.

Really hope the horse and rider are ok

That's horrific. Does anyone know the rider/horse and if they were ok?

Why do photographers put pictures of bad falls on their websites? Surely no one wants to buy them or do they?

Horrendous looking fall - started looking at pictures but decided not to go through to end, glad I didn't by the sounds of it. Really hope poor horse is OK, & rider of course.

Oh that is a bad fall, poor horse and rider.
I don't think the photographers are wrong to put them up, it is their job, and in a way its interesting to see what happened, and if any lessons can be learned.
After some (not very good) research I 'think' the rider may be Miss Emma Hawksby, she had a HF at the event. The horse might have been BRANNAS GRANDANTO. I don't know anymore.
Fingers crossed they make a speedy recovery.

i don't know why they post them online but i know they take them for any insurance claim or for vets/doctors to see so can identify injuries etc or how things happen. also course designers look at these things to see how falls can be prevented!!
i suppose often not many people see the fall so this can help. i guess when the vet gets there and if horse is just lying in ditch (for eg) they can see the fall to help determine leg/neck breaks etc.

Dear god alive, poor bloody horse, he was really stuffed then.

Falls, incident etc have to be seen to be prevented, photographers and camera guys simply erasing evidence is completely backwards to getting the sport safer and educating people. Good on the photographers I say.

just heard that both horse and rider are ok just very bruised. (heard 3rd hand so not definite but hopefully true. amazing if it is true. the girl was really flung and poor horse. say no more!!!

that is a friend of mine, yes they are both ok , rider black and blue no breaks, horse has a fat leg and a bit stiff

thank you all for your concern i am the rider and owner we r both ok, rather stiff but we will bouce back i am sure!!
