Lola has been sooo good! She leads perfectly now (she has such a fast walk!) you would never believe that 2 weeks ago she was handled for the first time!
She ties up now really well. her feet picking is good and even anticipates it and lifts her feet for you, learns really quickly! only issue is that i still need food to catch her and rowan comes along and is really naughty, trying to get the food and pushing lola away so i dont know what to do.....

i put this pic up of row as do you think he looks fat? im not sure if he is over weight and we got another show a week on sun so not sure if he is too fat for it? he looks less gangly now and more like a 4 year old slightly! still bum high though 15hh behind 14.3h in front)

Personally I think Rowan is carrying too much weight for a young horse, as lovely as he is.

Could do with slimming down to avoid that extra pressure on those joints.

They look lovely - and I want that shine on Shy. At the moment he's just like a whirlwind of loose hair *sigh*.

have you weigh - taped Rowan ? He does look like he's been enjoying the grass ;) ,but then again we're going into winter now so that should come off quite quickly. I've had a battle with Shy's weight as he's a very good doer too, but it's been worth it in the end. Just a pain in the a***. Shy's also bum high, so I've hated having him on a "diet" in case it affected his growth. urgh !

You should be really proud of Lola - as a friend said to me, it's all down to love, good horsemanship, and respect.

I think row is a little over weight. The thing is he can't come in as dancer (dark bay tb) can't be left alone. For that reason he can't b moved to a less grass field as dancer is a very poor doer and needs all the grass she can get! Our fat patch currently has felled trees in it that need cutting so only thing would b to get a grazing muzzle but I always feel so sorry for horses with them on but if that's the only way then I'll have to get one!
 
Get a muzzle - my mum needed some serious convincing, and like you felt sorry for them.
Having bought one from Dinky Rugs she's now a convert and even let me put one on her Warmblood.

Sadly my shetland has become too efficient with the Dinky Rugs version so I'm planning to get a Shire rubber bottomed one to restrict him further for next summer.

He does look a little porky but then it will be winter soon and also he will grow and lose it soon enough.

Love Lola - what is her registered name? I'm a bit of an exmoor nerd...:o
