Thought i would finally get around to posting pics of my boy. He's my first foal (mum's done it before) and i only found out she was in foal 2 weeks before he arrived.

I thought he was tiny when he was born but the vet said he was quite large, and up to a few weeks early!
He's dutch warmblood, mum is by Burggraaf and not sure about dad yet but the stallion we think it is is by Concorde.

Am getting a dna test to find out.

He is around 12hh now and just keeps growing!
 
Interesting your boy is 12hh now at 2 months old is that? What height are you expecting him to make? I only ask as my colt is 6 weeks old and is 12hh, we've guessed that he'll mature somewhere between 16.2 to possibly even 17HH!! (not bad when mum is only 15.2HH!!)

Congrats on the foal by the way he's lovely!

Thanks, he makes me smile every time i look at him.
I dont really know what to expect from him height wise as he wasnt planned.

He was 12hh when i measured him a few weeks ago, i'm sure he's grown bigger now. He's nearly 11 weeks now, will heave to measure again soon.
Mum is 16.2hh and not too sure about dad yet. There are 2 possibilities and they are both going to make around 16.2hh.

I have a feeling that Comet is going to exceed that and may reach 17hh just due to the size of him and his knees. The vet and everyone that meets him says he will be big.
Your colt sounds like he will be big too.
 
Yes everyone who sees my boy says he'll be big too! You'll have to let us know who the father is IF you can actually find out! What are the possibilities?
 
I will be finding out, soon hopefully, when i get all dna samples off to KWPN to register Comet.

Both possibilities are unregistered stallions, one is by Concorde the other by Burggraaf.
