This is Elmo (the light bay in the pics!) he is 4, he arrived yesterday and at the moment he is a very gangly baby who has a lot of filling out/growing up to do but i'm hoping in a couple of years time he will make a nice eventer. He has no name in his passport so have been trying to think of a competition name for him....any suggestions would be miuch appreciated :) my only thought so far is Parkbawn Elmo as in his passport it says he was bred in Parkbawn, Ireland.

What a lovely boy and I love his name Elmo! Hehehehehe, the only name that springs to mind is Tickle Me Elmo - you know the Elmo toys released? Or maybe that was just in Australia? I am sure somebody else can come up with a better name than me :p

What about Elmo Fire !!

St. Elmo's fire (also St. Elmo's light[1]) is an electrical weather phenomenon in which luminous plasma is created by a coronal discharge originating from a grounded object in an atmospheric electric field (such as those generated by thunderstorms or thunderstorms created by a volcanic explosion).

St. Elmo's fire is named after St. Erasmus of Formiae (also called St. Elmo, the Italian name for St. Erasmus), the patron saint of sailors. The phenomenon sometimes appeared on ships at sea during thunderstorms and was regarded by sailors with religious awe for its glowing ball of light, accounting for the name.

I had never heard of that before - great idea!!

Tough choice between Tickle me Elmo and St Elmo's Fire. Just had a quick look on the BE website and there is already a horse registered as St Elmo's Fire (and several others similar) so guess its going to be Tickle me Elmo!! :D

My first thought was St Elmo's Fire, but then as soon as I thought of it, I also thought that it would be quite common - as you have just found out.

I love 'Tickle Me Elmo' though - that's really great. Go for that one!
