He is Cob x ID, 16.1hh and rising 4. Very hairy and in the rough, but just wondered what you all think? How big do you think he'll make? Confo critique please.

I hope to make him into a good allrounder, but mostly hacking, BHS Trek and a bit of local Dressage, working hunters and a good weight carrying friend.

I get the feeling he may have a lot of growing yet as still bum high.
Sire is 15.2hh Dam 16.2hh.
Thanks

he looks a lovely sort of horse personally im a sucker for aanything with ID in them as taz is a pure ID cant go past their tempraments thats for sure, your right about the bit more to grow as his back end really high look forward to seing when you get him

I agree at hte moment he is still quite bum high but I actually first looked at him and thought he looked low withers rather than high bum (but that could just be the way I looked! hehe)

However this does give the impression he is leaning over at his shoulder, this may go as he grows into himself, or may be a permanent feature but so many horses have this Confo its hardly an issue anymore!!!

He looks a lovely lad! Good luck keeping ur clippers sharp if you clip him!

hehe

I must say I am in love and cant wait to get him home!

He is a wooly mammoth now, but I think a beauty will emerge from under all that hair around the end of the Spring and then he will go up an inch or two and look magnificent.
I just went for him instinctively, and followed my intuition. He not needing to be a superstar ( had one of those before and it was a nightmare, far to plush for me and forever accident prone - just wanting a good RC allrounder, with a safe laid back temperament and a nice long stride)

Has a calm and honest look to him. Regarding his confirmation, I wouldn't worry about him being bum high at the moment as most youngsters don't grow evenly.

For my taste, he is a little short through his neck and rather stands over his front legs. His hind leg is also rather straight but as long as he does the job for you I wouldn't worry.

Awww he is beautiful! i'm a sucker for a spotty he reminds me so much of my rising 2yr old he is also spotty he looks like a massive fluffy polar bear atm he is tb x knab. i think you might get another inch possibly in height. best of luck with him. x

Thanks hairycoconut, I hope we are all right - he such a kind look in the video too, I just wanted to hug him up!
I am so excited.......!

I do agree with eggs too that he has a shortish neck and stands over his shoulder a little and he is a bit straight in the hocks, but also I think he has a powerful back end with a lovely rump, he is close coupled for a big horse, he has loads of bone and is not back at the knee, he has nice short cannon bones, he is a bit upright through the pastern, but hopefully will drop down with a bit more maturity, he has lovely big hocks and knees. he moves gracefully and straight too and he is straight behind,
and of course he lacks topline atm as only a baby !
