Happy viewing!!

Fionn is AWESOME!!! And the evaluators loved him, saying they are really excited by him and want to watch his progress with interest!!!! (Pssst Cactus.....she's a he!!! LOL He is such a pretty boy that we have long joked he should have been a girl tho!) He is SUCH a big biy though....standing nearly 16.2hh and only 2 yrs old!

Tigers_Eye - RBM not yet chosen a rider for him - she was leaning towards Harry Meade but not so sure now given recent events but will continue to watch him with interest. The other person she was toying with is Tina Cook, especially as she is only based down the road from us in Worthing.

O_B - THANK YOU! RBM will be soo touched by your comments! She has adamantly always said though that Fionn is NOT for sale unless someone came around with not only a LOT of money but also would have to be the right home as well! And even that would be a push for her!!!!! She is however now toying with the idea of putting his mum Beth back to Caretino Glory so you could always buy a sibling in future......or she is in foal at the moment too to a very exciting young stallion!!!

Fionn got a 1st Premium with the evaluators saying they are very excited by him and his future and would be keeping an eye on him and cannot wait to see him as a 3 yr old! (IF he is presented as a 3 yr old that is) They raved about his short cannons and his topline saying they love his neck and head connection, etc. Also loved his paces and the fact that he can move up and down through the gears incredibly easily...espcially for such a big boy (nearly 16.2!!). The only criticism they had of him was that he is slightly weak behind at the moment but that is something we knew as he has an accident in the field a few weeks ago, spraining his hock and putting his pelvis out of wack and so has had physio to sort it but is still understandably a but weak and we would have been surprised not to have any comments about it.

Chip got a 2nd Premium. He did not show himself off at all, especially as he is not fazed by anything at all....did not want to follow his mum, was more interested in eating the plants around the arena, etc. It was either a reluctant canter from him when he was chased on or standing still and so we were not surprised when he got the 2nd. They did indeed like him but said he did not have the drive to go forward at the moment. Things will likely be different as a yearling as he will be away from mum and hopefully able to show himself off more as he is awesome moving in the fields at home!

This is an awesome pro pic of Fionn:

yep. He won the yearling section last year and we took him home before the championship because he found it all a bit exciting and there was a 2 hour wait so hope that he can do as well this year and we will definitely be hanging around!!!

Great result. They both look super

Very interested in the mother's breeding as I had the most lovely horse by Able Albert, out of a Diamond Lad mare called Graney Diamond. What is Beth's mum called?

OOOOH Chazza have you got any pics of your mare????? RBM would be thrilled to see her as she is DESPERATE to get her hands on another Able Albert or Diamond Lad mare!!! You wouldn't like to sell your girly would you???? LOL

Simsar - cool!! See you there!!! Are you in the 2 yr olds???

Sadly mine is a gelding! But he is the most lovely, gentle horse. Seriously talented with a huge jump, I evented him for a season but he sadly injured himself and is now doing dressage with a friend. Will look for a photo for you.

Can't remember who is judging but will try to find out. We went to watch last year but thought it was for progeny out of a proven dam/sire although his sire is proven his dam isn't, that's why we didn't enter. Is Fionn a colt?

No Fionn was gelded the week after Tweseldown last year!!! It was never intended to keep him entire and so even though he was definitely nice enough to keep a colt, it just wasn't worth the hassle, especially as he is MASSIVE and now stands over 16.1 and pushing 16.2 at only 2. He didn't discover what his bits were literally till the day of PAVO last year and BOY did he realise it then and so the tough decision was made to chop him. His mum will likely go back to dad soon for a second try though...possibly even next year.

We had hoped to take the El Thuder yearling that was at Plumpton Futurity this year as well but alas it is not meant to be as he is now on box rest for the forseeable future.

Vickijay - it is on the 13th October. Would love to see you there!

Here is a pic of my Able Albert x Diamond Lad, born 1999. Would love to find another like him, have been looking for ages.
