Chazza, I'm coming late into this thread
which is disgraceful as Fionn is my boy, and ER has been doing a great job in my absence!! (She also ran him up at Plumpton with a broken toe, which was quite a feat given that he has a very long stride!!) But just wanted to let you know that we too are going over to Ireland in October - on the 21st - to look at stallions, and, of course, on the hunt for elusive Able Albert/Diamond Lad offspring! There is a very nice Diamond Lad broodmare for sale at Lissava Stud, but she's a bit outside our price range - what we have discovered is that Diamond Lad mares are as rare as hens teeth, and very much valued in Ireland as quality broodmares ... so they attract big prices!
If you are likely to be in Ireland at the same time as us, let us know! We are going to be in the SW at Kennedy EC, then going to Kylemore to take (another) look at Watermill Swatch, then over to Cahir to visit Lissava and Kedrah Studs, then probably spending the last day around Enniscorthy ...... Its going to be hectic but good fun!! We will be writing up the visit on another forum on our return.

Sadly I think our paths may not cross as I go over on the 26th or 27th. Am going to have a day at Goresbridge and a couple of days driving about, looking for a 4 yr old. Do you have any good (and honest!) contacts over there? I need to make a plan
