This is Willow, our GSD x ? any ideas on her 'other' breed??
We got her from the Dogs Trust in August, I had gone to look for a small-ish, older dog, and found Willow- who was about 8 months old at the time, was terrified of everything and was really thin, and had no history at all!
She hadn't been at the D.T long, and a Dog Warden had found her wandering in the city centre of Leeds.
She was so nervous when I first met her- I finshed work early everyday for a week to go to see her to make sure we were doing the right thing. I then took a week off work just to try and bond with her- and bond we did!!!
So, 4 months later, we can do sit, lay, stay, recall, walking to heel wthout a lead, with a lead. She can be left for upto 4 hours, as long as it isn't dark. Apart from being so pleased to see us she wees, she is a superstar!
