Yes being a much loved horse of leisure is def hard work!

Thanks, but no, keep trying to guess his breeding, betcha cant!

Correct!!!!

He is a Clydey X HIghland!!!!

A 16.3 Highland. Looks like a big giant highland and thinks like one too, he has a very intelligent pony mind which he uses for mischief.

The last picture is him with his pal another Highland cross who is about 15 hh. They live next to each other and every time the little one gets into trouble, he hides behind my big lad. Is so funny to watch.

Thank you for you nice positive comments. x

Here is a question.

He can no longer be ridden and there is no way I am going to part with him.

I would really like another him to ride, but he is unique so do I go for a grey ID, grey highland or a percheron?

What do you think?

Thanks

5 years ago bone spavin, we stopped jumping
Last year split ddft
this year high/low ring bone, side bone and pedal osteitis x 4.

He can be hacked on grass (not road work or hard ground)in walk on the flat only.

We live in scotland, where can I find flat! LOL

So he goes out for 'walkies' in hand.

Am considering sitting on him again once my back is better, but no more long hacks, schooling or hill work. Still at least he is fit and well otherwise.

always think highlands do not make good cross breeds, but your boy is most definately an exception to the rule, he's a cracker! Such a shame he can't be ridden!

You can really see the highland in his head I think!
