Bear puts his heart and soul into everything, staring at the fish, chasing his ball, motorbiking round the woods. He’s a bit tired today.

And some from this morning - little 'rescue' bitch, who was only meant to be here as long as it took to rehome her...of course turned out to be in pup. So these bundles of cuteness are the result! Turns out dad is a Yorkie type terrier.

How I end up with all the waifs and strays I do not know - too soft for my own good 😏 but lets just say they're a whole lot easier than 13 greyhounds 😂

Oh wow :o what breed is this stunner?

He is a 3 year old Presa Canario, stands at 27.5" and I'm guessing he weighs around 55kg at the moment (has put on 5kg since he arrived, but could do with another 5kg yet imo)

He was available as owner was scared of him - more to do with lack of experience of how to handle the breed than the dog being overly difficult, but he can be sharp. Fine with bitches and submissive males but not keen on horses/livestock once they move!

Starting to do some OB with him and he's a quick learner, brilliant prey drive so easy to harness the will to work. Not overly food motivated but will perk up for cooked chicken from the deli counter haha. Aloof but stable with friendly strangers, and intolerant of anyone looking for trouble!

What adorable little darlings!

Do you foster, Kimberleigh? I’m loving the little terrier types. I can appreciate the Presa Canario, but I’m not a fan of huge dogs: don’t they have a shorter lifespan than smaller dogs? I like a dog I can lift out of the car!

He weighs more than me. Jeez. He's so very handsome though! :o And honestly horses are prey animals so can't blame the dog for not being 100% with them! Wishing very best of luck with your handsome guy.

Yeah have done loads of fostering but these little pups were OH hearing that bitch was being given away free and feeling sorry for her...
I should've said no room at the Inn but he usually manages to worm his way round me, and then when it turned out she was in pup there was no chance of finding her a decent home until babies all found theirs! Have 3 of them here still now as 2nd in photos left last night to a wonderful family!!

A Presa should live a pretty long life for a large breed - around 15 years isnt uncommon at all! But certainly no lifting in or out of cars haha - luckily this lad is a brilliant traveller and hops in and out no bother

I wish he weighed more than me!! I am preggers though so can use that excuse haha.
No definitely cant blame him, hes lived in inner city Birmingham his whole life so has never seen wildlife of any description. He is very chilled as long as they are standing around, and will even have a sniff of them but obviously if they start trotting about/rolling etc it triggers his instinct to chase - they're actually used to work cattle a lot on the Islands so stems from there. He's a cracking dog (so far) and is enjoying living in the house, as opposed to outdoors, without any problems

A friend down the road has one of those, Kimberleigh, although she was a rescue (found half dead at a traveller camp) and may have a bit of GSD in there too. She is not a novice dog, but OK if you are respectful. She has badly bitten a couple of people. The one time that it was funny was when someone was breaking into the guys shed in the middle of the night, he let the dog out who went off after the men and came back with a pair of trousers! We never did find a body.
The puppies are gorgeous.

Hahaha!! Yes they certainly dont take kindly to anyone with bad intentions, but the good ones should be neutral with friendly strangers. If someone is scared or nervous though they tend to take the pee and bully them, which is why they dont usually do well with owners who arent experienced with large/dominant breeds and end up with bad habits.

The pups are extremely cute but god do they have some spunk! Especially the female, she gives the boys absolute hell haha
