Since Jack is away on his summer holidays, a friend very kindly offered me her lovely but firey chestnut mare to compete for a day.
We had a pretty uneventful hack there, but warming up consisted of her conversing with her fieldmate who was supposed to be concentrating on her own test And spooking at the camera;
Inbetween her screams of loneliness and terror of being abandoned with the evil me, she was lovely to ride (mainly when being ridden towards her compainion, of course )
And then it was test time. Aside from a couple of bouts of accidental canter (which ironically occured when we were supposed to be walking and definitely down to my faulty aids!) she went lovely! We placed seventh and had an excellent day.
(spooking at the pro photographer..)
(Aaaaah it's the man with the lens again!!!!)
(nothing better than pausing mid test to admire the scenery )
Thank you for reading, and if you are my friend, thank you for lending me your lovely horse!
