I have had my new boy for a month now, his passport doesn't give any clues on his breeding and I've had no response from a letter to the previous owner to see if they could provide any more information. Does anyone have any ideas as to what he might be?
He's 15.2hh and a 6 year old gelding:

Thanks :)

Would also like to ask how you keep him looking so spotless in all that mud.

However Re breeding, I'm clueless!

You could quite easily get a British horse with the same breeding, therefore it is not guarenteed to be "Irish" (unless you know it has an Irish passport!)

Thanks for the replies! I was thinking either an ISH or a welsh or irish cob x TB. I got him from a dealer who gets a lot of horses from Ireland generally but this one they brought from a lady in Leeds and that's as far back as his passport history goes. His temperament is lovely and he seems very brave. As for the mud that isn't their field thankfully but i am dreading the warmer weather and the rugs coming off! :-)
