Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem with their chocolate Bromonts as me? I looks after these boots religously (as they were so expensive!), wiping them off and cleaning them after every ride, then usually polishing them before using them again. You'll see from the pics why I polish them each time.
Before I walked up to the yard this afternoon, these boots shone and looked like new - after and hour or so of getting two horses ready, then lunging one in a short grass (dampish) field then riding another, they look like this:
I use Ariat chocolate polish and liquid wax on them, but no matter what combination I use these in, every time I use the boots, they look like a big pile of poop. Apart from the water stains, where the leather creases, the colour always goes light almost immediately after putting them on. I don't expect £250 boots to be this hard to look after or to look like this after loads of elbow grease....my Dubarrys certainly don't.
I have mailed Ariat to see if they have any thoughts, but wondered if anyone else had this problem? I bought them last September at Burghley and they haven't been worn that much, maybe 50 times, always for riding, not plodging around in.
