Ok, so been meaning to explore this for a while but I have been in denial it seems.

Some time ago I found a bald patch under Olive's mane (where the actual mane grows from), it was about an inch by half an inch.

Used Megatek, no improvement. It doesn't itch, it's not raw, but is has spread. Rehogging has allowed me to see just how much it has spread. We now have about 8 inches by an inch and a half of pure, bright pink baldness. It doesn't bother her in the slightest, she doesn't rub it and has no reaction at all when it is touched or bathed etc.

I am going to get the vet, but any ideas? Pure bald hogginess, like a pink piggy. This is not sun burn, her skin is that pink I promise. She is in during the day and in the sunny evenings she is out in a cool coat with a neck.

Help! I love the fact that she is pretty special, but even I don't want a completely bald cob!

It has been quite gradual to be fair, I have just ignored it, kept it clean and hoped that it would go away, but it isn't. At first I thought it was a rubbing spot from a rug or something but it definitely isn't. I feel bad for having ignored it but the skin isn't broken, itchy, sweaty or anything. It's just BALD!

Not eating under a fence either...

HA! No, the inch by inch patch started under her mane when she had a full mane, I actually thought it was because she was getting hot and sweaty under there....

Don't know Billie.........I have a TB, more sensible in my opinion, in the mane situation anyway!:D

Bald patch exacerbated by clipping oil? Allergic to something you're feeding?

But it did start prior to ever having a pair of clippers near her...

Hmmmm feed wise since the patch started it has only ever been FF, brewers yeast, joint supp, fennel and pro hoof...?mi just hope it is something I can fix?

Do horses go bald forever?

It might be the brewers yeast.

You're right it may well be the brewers yeast. Argggghhhhhh! Will it grow back?

BUT brewers yeast is recommended to assist hair growth...
