Me and my ex hunter partook in some combined training today. He's 8 but may as well have been 4 when I got him as he'd done nothing but hunt.

We scored a very respectably 73% in Intro C (I think the judge was being very nice!) and went clear on the 45cm show jumps. The jumping is a big thing for him, not the height as he jumps like a stag, but the fact that when I got him and up until quite recently a coloured pole on the floor would give him a heart attack. Today he tackled a course of 8 jumps in a very calm a reasoned manner, with steering and no panic!
