What a fabulously stunning day it was today :D

And amazingly, for once, I remembered my camera! :rolleyes:

Although shame the battery died after the second drive! :mad:

Most of them seemed to fall in the reservoir but the dogs love swimming luckily! :cool:

Toby & Flyn must have swum across that lake more times than you could shake a stick - you would think that they would have been exhausted by the end of the day but no, you would be wrong! :eek:

We got home at about 5pm, I had a quick coffee and then rushed back out to do my horse and take the puppy for a walk and Flyn was desperate to come to and he raced around for another hour with Rosie! Is there no end to a spaniel's energy?
 
No, I'm sorry, you still haven't topped the 'legs akimbo' pic from last year, although these ones are very beautiful:D

**Whispers** In other news, I think we have our first date... although I am keeping the details secret in case it is disastrous, so I can never speak about it again:eek:

Must admit I misinterpreted Spud's post...got all overexcited at her mentioning legs akimbo and date in the same post, thought she was withholding gossip! :o :p

But don't bother taking your camera - its a nightmare trying to work them and take photos!!

Will you be beating or picking up?
 
I shall be following my mate and doing what she says:D Picking up, I believe! Although mostly watching and seeing how Henry gets on, will probably use a longline the first time or two and see how he takes to it.:)
 
Hmmm - did she advise you to use a longline? Not too sure that thats a good idea!

Why don't you come down here one weekend with Henry?
 
She said to give him his first (nice easy) retrieve on a line, so if he starts to make off with it he can be prevented from making good his escape! Wouldn't have him on it all day, just to make sure he was ok for the first couple of times:) I suspect it's more for me than for him;)

It all looks a bit scary and organised down your way, wouldn't want to spoil anyone's day for them!
 
Pah - don't be daft!

Round here its all big commercial shoots (ie mega bucks!) but we still have a great laugh (especially when the weather is kind!)

If you came down I would glue you to me and we could stay out the back - it would be a blast :D
 
Maybe when we've had some more practice then!:)

The one we are going to is the one where, after the *ahem* Scurry Incident (:mad:), I was told he would fit right in with the rest:p:D

Will be up soon - Dad's "retired" but obviously still involved in the shoots so i don't feel so obliged to be there every weekend! :D
 
Fantastic news SA :D

Any Saturday but must be before Christmas - not sure how much shooting there will be after that at that shoot as its nearly all partridge.
